StarPure Plasma/Serum cfDNA Extraction Kit This kit utilizes uniquely engineered nanomagnetic beads and a specialized buffer system to purify high-quality cell-free DNA from serum and plasma samples. The magnetic beads, encapsulated using a unique technology, exhibit a strong affinity for free nucleic acids under certain buffer conditions. Upon changing these conditions, the beads release the adsorbed nucleic acids, enabling rapid isolation and purification of free DNA. The entire process is safe and convenient. The extracted cell-free DNA is highly purified and has a high yield, consistent quality, and is suitable for both manual and automated workstation extraction. Product Performance
  • High yield

400 μL of plasma samples 1 and 2 were extracted using the StarPure Plasma/Serum cfDNA Extraction Kit and the supplier's L, A, and T plasma/serum cDNA extraction kits, respectively. The elution volume was 20 μL. The extracted cfDNA yields are shown in Table 1:

Plasma samples 1 and 2 were extracted using StarPure plasma/serum cfDNA Extraction Kit and similar extraction kits from suppliers L, A, and T, respectively, with a volume of 400 μL per sample and an elution volume of 20 μL. Qubit quantitative analysis was performed.

Compared with other suppliers, the StarPure plasma/serum cfDNA xtraction Kit showed a higher yield. The abnormally high yield shown by supplier T may be due to contamination with long fragments (see Fig. 1).

Compared with other suppliers, the Qihengxing cfDNA extraction kit showed higher yield, especially at a higher concentration of 177-179 bp.

Half of the cfDNA extracted using each brand's kit was used as the starting amount for library construction using the KAPA Hyper DNA Prep kit. After 12 cycles of amplification, the yield of the Qihengxing cfDNA library was similar to that of Supplier L and Supplier A, while the yield of the cfDNA library from Supplier T was relatively low (Tab.3).
