StarPure DNA Extraction Kit for Paraffin-Embedded Samples

No.FS-B9001/FS-B9001-S
Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) is a common storage method for clinical tissue samples. This kit utilizes uniquely separated nanomagnetic beads and a specialized buffer system to extract high-quality genomic DNA from FFPE samples. The procedure is convenient, resulting in a high yield of extracted nucleic acids with consistent and reliable quality, suitable for use in PCR, real-time quantitative PCR, and next-generation sequencing. The magnetic bead separation system is particularly well-suited for automated extraction in high-throughput workstations.

Product Performance

  • High yield and high purity

Figure 1. 5 μm sections were taken, 6 sections/tube, and extracted according to the instructions provided by the respective suppliers. The elution volume was 50 μl.

  • High yield, high purity—customer test results

Figure 2. 5 μm sections (6 sections/tube) were extracted according to the instructions provided by their respective suppliers, and the elution volume was 50 μl.

  • Less residual inhibitors, smaller Ct values in qPCR quantitative results

Figure 3. Nucleic acid extraction was performed on sections of different paraffin blocks using the StarPure FFPE DNA Extraction Kit and a competitor's OM FFPE Nucleic Acid Extraction Kit. The extracted products were diluted to 3 ng/ul and amplified by QPCR using EAR-2 primers. For sections from the same paraffin block, the Ct values of the products extracted using the QHX kit were lower than those of the competitor.

  • Less residual inhibitors, accurate qPCR quantitative results

Figure 4. FFPE sample nucleic acid was extracted using the StarPure FFPE DNA Extraction Kit. Nanodrop quantification was performed at a concentration of 457 ng/µL (260/280 = 1.9; 260/230 = 2.048). After serial dilution, Actin gene amplification was performed using the StarLighter SYBR Green qPCR Mix (Universal), demonstrating excellent linearity.
