StarLighter dsDNA HS (High sensitivity)Assay Kit This is a simple, rapid, sensitive and highly accurate double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) fluorescence quantitative detection kit. This kit contains fluorescent detection reagents, standards and buffers. It is highly selective for dsDNA, has little interference with RNA, and has good linearity between 0.1-100ng for dDNA samples. Compared with the traditional UV detection (A260) method, it can quantify DNA more accurately, eliminate interference from other substances such as RNA, protein, etc., and improve the accuracy of the experiment. This kit is easy to operate and can be detected using a fluorescent microplate reader or Qubit9 fluorescent quantifier.

Product Advantages
  • High sensitivity: dsDNA samples with a concentration of 100 pg/uL-100ng/pL can be accurately quantified.
  • High specificity: It only binds to dDNA, has strong specificity, is not affected by RNA, and has excellent tolerance to some common pollutants such as salts, free nucleotides, proteins, solvents, detergents, etc.
  • Well tolerated: It tolerates high concentrations of salt, urea, ethanol, detergents, proteins, or agarose and can directly quantify PCR amplification products without the need to purify DNA from the reaction mixture.
  • Ease of operation: The operation is simple. Dilute the fluorescence detection reagent with buffer to make a working solution, then add the dsDNA sample to be tested and detect it using the Qubit fluorescence instrument. This operation can be performed at room temperature.
  • More precise quantification: In the presence of sSDNA, RNA, and monomeric nucleotides, dsDNA can be selectively detected at concentrations as low as 100 pg/uL.

Competitor L standard products 2 and 2 were used as test samples, and QB buffer was used as diluent to dilute standard products 1 and 2 into a series of gradients of 10, 5, 2.5, 1.25, 0.625, 0.3125, 0.156, 0.0781, and 0 ng/µL. Test system: 10µL sample + 190µL working solution. The StarLighter Qubit kit competitor L brand kit reagents were used to test 9 dsDNA samples of different concentrations, and the results are shown in Figure 1:

StarLighter dsDNA HS Assay Kit and competitor L have the same performance. The dsDNA samples have a good linear relationship in the range of 0-100ng, and the samples have good repeatability. There is no difference in performance between the two.


The five standards in the enzyme-labeled kit, 10 ng/μL, 5 ng/μL, 2.5 ng/μL, 1.25 ng/μL, and 0 ng/μL, were used as test samples for the calibration curve test. Test system: 10 μL sample + 190 μL working solution. The results are shown in the figure: StarLighter dsDNA HS Assay Kit (Five Standards) has a good linear relationship in the range of 0-100 ng.
