2-3 mm mouse tail samples were processed according to the StarLighter Animal Tissue One-Step Amplification Kit and the instructions from Supplier A. 1 μl of the sample processing solution was then amplified to compare the cleavage and amplification performance of the different products. For small and medium-sized fragments (200-1100 bp), both kits performed well, but the StarLighter reagent amplified more product and produced brighter bands. For large fragments (greater than 1.5 kp), the StarLighter reagent performed better in cleavage and amplification than the reagent from Supplier A. Fig. 2. Purified gDNA was also amplified as a positive control.
