StarLighter Animal Tissue One-Step Amplification Kit (with loading dye)

No.FS-P1009-01/FS-P1009-02/FS-P1009-S
StarLighter Animal Tissue One Step Direct PCR Kit This kit includes a rapid tissue lysis buffer and an optimized PCR amplification premix. It allows for rapid release and PCR amplification of genomic DNA from animal tissues (such as mouse/rat ears, tails, and toes), eliminating the need for complex nucleic acid extraction. The products released by rapid lysis can be directly processed for PCR, making it suitable for rapid genetic identification and genotyping in animals. This kit is widely applicable to amplification of target fragments within 5 kb and can also be used in multiplex PCR reactions.

  • Strong expansion capability

2-3 mm mouse tail samples were processed according to the StarLighter Animal Tissue One-Step Amplification Kit and the instructions from Supplier A. 1 μl of the sample processing solution was then amplified to compare the cleavage and amplification performance of the different products. For small and medium-sized fragments (200-1100 bp), both kits performed well, but the StarLighter reagent amplified more product and produced brighter bands. For large fragments (greater than 1.5 kp), the StarLighter reagent performed better in cleavage and amplification than the reagent from Supplier A.

Fig. 2. Mouse tail tissue was lysed and amplified using the StarLighter Animal Tissue One-Step Direct PCR Kit and mouse genotyping reagents from Supplier A, respectively. Purified gDNA was also amplified as a positive control. For small to medium-sized fragments (200-400 bp), both the StarLighter Animal Tissue One-Step Direct PCR Kit and Supplier A amplified fragments well, but the StarLighter amplified product was more abundant and the bands were brighter.

Fig. 3. Mouse tail tissue was lysed and amplified using the StarLighter Animal Tissue One-Step Direct PCR Kit and mouse genotyping reagents from Supplier A, respectively. Purified gDNA was also amplified as a positive control. Both the StarLighter Animal Tissue One-Step Direct PCR Kit and Supplier A amplified the 600-740 bp fragment well, but the StarLighter amplified product was more abundant and brighter. Lanes 1 and 5 represent the product of StarLighter lysis and amplification; lanes 2 and 6 represent the product of StarLighter lysis and amplification using pure gDNA; lanes 3 and 7 represent the product of StarLighter lysis and amplification using Supplier A reagent; and lanes 4 and 8 represent the product of Supplier A lysis and amplification using pure gDNA.

Fig. 4. Mouse tail tissue was lysed and amplified using the StarLighter Animal Tissue One-Step Direct PCR Kit and mouse genotyping reagents from Supplier A, respectively. Purified gDNA was also amplified as a positive control. For amplification of the 1.1 kp-1.7 kp product, the StarLighter Animal Tissue One-Step Direct PCR Kit performed better than Supplier A. Lanes 1 and 5 represent products lysed and amplified using the StarLighter reagent; lanes 2 and 6 represent products amplified using the StarLighter reagent from purified gDNA; lanes 3 and 7 represent products lysed and amplified using the Supplier A reagent; and lanes 4 and 8 represent products amplified using the Supplier A reagent from purified gDNA.
